This striking young bull is now a herd sire in North Dakota. He is a dark red brindle with white "frosting" evident on the switch of his tail and forehead. This color pattern is unique, and while its exact mode of inheritance has not been determined, it appears to be a dominant trait, so that only animals exhibiting the color pattern can pass it to offspring. Quintessential is long, well muscled with an exceptional disposition. He is registered with the American Highland Cattle Association, all offspring out of AHCA registered females are eligible for AHCA registration themselves.
